Terror at the Old School

Terror at the Old School

Chapter 1: The Dare

It all started with a dare.

"Come on, it's just an old building," said Riko, grinning.

"Yeah, don't be a chicken," added Maya, nudging her friend Dika.

Dika hesitated. "I don't know... people say it's haunted."

"Exactly why we should go!" Riko exclaimed.

The three friends stood outside the gates of the old school building. It had been abandoned for years, ever since a mysterious fire had destroyed part of it. Rumors of ghosts and strange noises had kept people away.

But tonight, curiosity got the better of them.

Chapter 2: Entering the Unknown

The gate creaked as they pushed it open. The school loomed ahead, its windows like dark eyes watching them.

They stepped inside.

The air was thick with dust and the scent of decay. Their flashlights flickered as they walked down the hallway.

"Did you hear that?" Maya whispered.

A faint sound echoed through the corridor—a soft, distant whisper.

"Probably just the wind," Riko said, though his voice lacked confidence.

They continued, their footsteps echoing.

Suddenly, a locker door slammed shut behind them.

They spun around.

Nothing.

"Okay, that was weird," Dika said, his voice shaky.

"Let's check out the auditorium," Riko suggested, trying to keep the mood light.

Chapter 3: The Auditorium

The auditorium was vast and dark. Rows of empty seats faced a stage with tattered curtains.

As they stepped inside, the temperature dropped.

"It's freezing in here," Maya said, rubbing her arms.

They approached the stage.

Suddenly, the curtains rustled.

"Hello?" Riko called out.

No response.

They climbed onto the stage.

A piano sat in the corner.

"Let's see if it still works," Riko said, pressing a key.

A haunting note echoed through the room.

Then, without warning, the piano played a melody on its own.

The friends froze.

"Run!" Dika shouted.

They bolted out of the auditorium.

Chapter 4: Lost

They ran through the hallways, trying to find the exit.

But the school seemed different.

Corridors twisted in unfamiliar ways.

Doors led to empty rooms that shouldn't exist.

"We're lost," Maya said, panic in her voice.

"How is that possible?" Riko asked. "We came straight in."

They tried retracing their steps, but the layout had changed.

"It's like the school is alive," Dika whispered.

Suddenly, a child's laughter echoed around them.

They turned, but no one was there.

"Let's stick together," Riko said. "We need to find a way out."

Chapter 5: The Classroom

They entered a classroom.

Desks were overturned, and chalk scribbles covered the blackboard.

"Look at this," Maya said, pointing to a drawing.

It depicted three figures—two boys and a girl—surrounded by shadows.

"That's us," Dika said, his voice trembling.

Suddenly, the door slammed shut.

They tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge.

The lights flickered.

Then, a figure appeared at the front of the classroom.

A teacher, her face obscured by shadows.

"Class is in session," she said in a chilling voice.

The friends backed away.

"Let us go!" Riko shouted.

The teacher raised a hand, and the desks began to move, blocking their path.

"We have to get out of here," Maya said.

They pushed against the desks, finally forcing the door open.

They ran.

Chapter 6: The Library

They found themselves in the library.

Books lay scattered on the floor.

A book caught Dika's eye.

He picked it up.

It was a yearbook from decades ago.

He flipped through the pages.

"Guys, look at this," he said.

He pointed to a photo.

It was the same teacher they had just seen.

"Miss Sari," Maya read. "Died in the fire that destroyed the school."

"She's the one haunting this place," Riko said.

Suddenly, the books flew off the shelves.

Pages tore themselves free, swirling around them.

"We need to find her grave," Dika said. "Maybe we can put her spirit to rest."

Chapter 7: The Basement

They searched for the basement, where the fire had started.

They found a door leading down.

The stairs creaked as they descended.

The air was thick with smoke and ash.

They reached the bottom.

Charred remains of furniture and walls surrounded them.

In the center, a burnt desk.

On it, a photo of Miss Sari and her class.

"She loved her students," Maya said.

"Maybe she doesn't realize she's dead," Dika added.

They placed the yearbook on the desk.

"Miss Sari," Riko called out. "We know what happened. It's time to rest."

A soft light filled the room.

Miss Sari appeared, her face now peaceful.

"Thank you," she whispered, before fading away.

Chapter 8: Escape

The school began to shake.

"We need to get out!" Maya shouted.

They ran up the stairs.

The hallways were now familiar.

They reached the exit.

The door opened easily.

They stepped outside.

The sun was rising.

They turned back.

The school stood silently, no longer menacing.

"Do you think it's over?" Dika asked.

"I hope so," Riko replied.

They walked away, leaving the old school behind.

But as they disappeared into the distance, a faint melody played from within the building.

The piano.
